Small eatery with great food. Best chicken sandwich I ever had. Highly recommend.
We get to Bancroft at the end of September every year, and have tried most of the restaurants in town. This was our first time at the Eagles Nest, and were not disappointed. My wife had the fish and chips which she said was one of the best she ever had, and I had the hot chicken sandwich which was also excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good meal with generous portions..As a side note; The Apple Crumble and the Date Squares are amazing!
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. I always ordered their BLT sandwich with fries. Used to be a good size sandwich with thick slices of tomato, lots of bacon and crisp lettuce. Today my sandwich was like I had ordered from the kiddy menu! The sour dough bread slices were taken from the end of the loaf......so very small. There was one paper THIN tomato slice that didn't even cover half the sandwich. Tiny bit of bacon and lettuce..... AND half the fries I used to get. Such a disappointment! They either need to have a talk with the cook, hire a new one or start loosing customers.
Large portion sizes of some good old classic food. Me and my family had a lovely meal and absolutely extraordinary service from the server.
Highly recommend any type of fried chicken here. Tenders and sandwhiches were awesome. Would NOT reccomend the pork chops. Very dry
